A quick anecdote:
I was using Litterati on my street, picking up litter/zwerfvuil and a gentleman asks me, "Excuse me, but why are you taking pictures of trash?"
I explained what I was doing and how the app works and collects data.
He shook his head and said, "But there’s trash everywhere. This street is no different from the next one. This is just normal these days."
I continued that pictures help show how big and constant the issue is. Someday, the government and companies will have to act or find a solution because in the long term, you can’t sweep this amount of litter under the carpet. He still wasn’t convinced, but wished me good luck. At least we could have a conversation about it, which felt like a huge win to me!
wow nice meeting. yes nice about using Litterati is that people are getting aware of it again 🙂
